No financial background required, and no credit card needed to start.
1

Create your account

Navigate to app.insighthread.com/auth and sign up for a free account. Your 7-day free trial starts immediately upon registration — no credit card is required, and you won’t be charged anything until you choose a paid plan after your trial ends. You get full, unrestricted access to every feature from the moment you log in.
2

Explore your news feed

After signing in, you land on the News Feed — the real-time heart of Insighthread. Each card in the feed represents a distinct SEC filing event, processed and analyzed the moment it hits EDGAR. A few things to notice:
  • Impact signal: Every event displays a 5-bar signal strength indicator showing how materially significant the filing is likely to be for the stock.
  • Event categories: Events are tagged across 35+ categories — earnings beats, insider cluster buys, going-concern warnings, shelf registrations, material contract changes, and many more — so you can filter to exactly the signal types you care about.
  • AI summaries: Click any event card to expand the full AI-generated summary, key excerpts from the source filing, and the original SEC document link.
3

Search for a company

Use the search bar at the top of the app to look up any of 6,000+ US public companies by ticker symbol or company name. Insighthread covers companies listed on NYSE, NASDAQ, NYSE American, and all other major US exchanges. Selecting a result takes you to that company’s profile page, which consolidates their filing history, financials, insider activity, and earnings transcripts in one place.
4

Ask AI about a filing

Open any filing event or navigate to a company profile, then click the AI Chat button. The AI already has full context on the filing or company you’re viewing — you don’t need to paste in any text or explain the background. Try asking questions like:
  • “What were the biggest risk factors disclosed in this filing?”
  • “How did this quarter’s revenue compare to the same period last year?”
  • “Summarize what management said about their outlook for next year.”
The AI responds with sourced, plain-English answers drawn directly from the underlying SEC documents.
5

Set up a watchlist

Navigate to Watchlists in the sidebar and create your first list. Add ticker symbols for any companies you want to monitor closely. Once your watchlist is active, you can filter the news feed to show only events from tickers on that list — cutting through the noise and keeping your feed focused on what matters most to your portfolio.
AI Chat is fully context-aware. When you open it from a company profile page, it already knows which company you’re researching. When you open it from a specific filing event, it already has that document loaded. You never need to re-explain what you’re looking at — just ask your question.
